Bursary Program is Now Open

Our bursary program supports and encourages individuals pursuing a career in the processing vegetable industry to help ensure the future growth of this sector of Ontario’s agri-food economy. Since the program began in 2001, bursaries have provided more than $200,000 to Ontario students.
There are three annual bursaries available through OPVG.
- OPVG Industry Bursary
- Jim Whitson Memorial Bursary
- Ken Epp Memorial Bursary
Who is eligible
Applicants must be a Canadian citizen and Ontario resident who are registered as a full-time student at an eligible college or university entering the second, third, fourth or post-graduate year of study which relates to the processing vegetable industry.
Application deadlines
For the 2025 program, the call for applications begins November 7, 2025 and the deadline for accepting applications is February 6, 2026. Details and the application form are available by clicking HERE or by contacting the OPVG office via email at opvg@opvg.org.
